Our Board of Directors

​JASON SHAW
Jason Shaw was elected President in January 2022. Jason comes to the group with several years of agriculture experience. Jason farms pistachios in Waukena and has played a key role in Waukena 4-H as the sheep leader. Jason was the President of Central Valley Christian's FFA Boosters and volunteers for the agricultural community of Corcoran. Jason is a guest speaker and advocate for trade schools and sits on the San Joaquin Valley College Advisory Board.

​VERONICA ANDERSON
​Veronica has worked with several other nonprofits and on-site school clubs her entire life, as well as having children who are now grown adults.  Working with these different organizations was a great learning experience and it has given her an exposure to the agriculture industry and how many individuals, and the youth live in communities throughout the Central Valley.  During her time, she has undertaken various  projects that help promote Agriculture and youth from different towns across the valley. In the last four years, she has been fortunate enough to contribute to the successful launching of Valley Ag Boosters.

All the people she has met along the way have been very welcoming and supportive and she is sure that Valley Ag Boosters is going to achieve new heights as a team. She looks forward to meeting new youth and serving the community.

​DEBBI BARTON​
Debbi Barton is the Treasurer. Debbi is a Payroll Manager and Marketing Director at Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc. Debbi is the third generation of the tile family business and granddaughter of Tony and Betty Martinho of Tulare, CA. With 24 years experience in the tile industry, Debbi has held many positions in the company including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Retail Sales, Commercial Contract Administrator and Residential Contact Administrator.

Debbi believes payroll is an important role in business to ensure employees receive accurate & correct pay on time which in return creates a high trust within the organization and builds morale. As a Marketing Director, her goal is to boost sales, create the company culture and reputation along with building relationships along the journey. Debbi manages all social media content for the company.

In addition to these titles, Debbi helped start the foundation of the non-profit organization. Her history of community involvement has been Visalia Chamber of Commerce Leadership Courses, College of the Sequoias Supervisory Academy, Board Secretary of St. Paul’s School PTO, Board Secretary and Vice President of Visalia Technical Early College High School Scholarship Foundation and has completed the Dal Carnegie Training/Professional Development Course.

SEAN HIXSON
Sean is the secretary and is a 5th generation farmer from Reedley. He is a Pest Control Advisor and Certified Crop Advisor for Western Milling. Being born and raised into the agriculture industry, he knows that the ag industry is the cornerstone of America and that it is vital to help build up and support the future generations of ag.


JEFF ANDERSON
Jeff Anderson is the founding member of Valley Ag Boosters and past president.  He now serves on the advisory committee. Jeff has lived in the valley his whole life and was raised around agriculture. He is an American Pistachio Growers Member and currently works as a Crop Advisor for Meridian Growers.

LISA SHAW
Lisa Shaw is the Executive Director of the Corcoran Chamber of Commerce. Lisa has a background in marketing, advertising and event planning. Lisa sits on several boards and committees including Corcoran Rotary, Corcoran Museum Committee, Corcoran 50/50 Club, Corcoran High School CTE Program, Corcoran Thursday Club and Corcoran Organization's Committee. She is a long-time resident of Waukena and lives with her husband Jason. Lisa was active in Waukena 4-H as the leader of Foods & Nutrition, Photography, Arts & Crafts, Record Book Keeping,  and Gardening for 11 years. She now serves on the advisory committee for Valley Ag Boosters.
